We've Been Tip-Toeing Around This So Long...

*sigh* You know how certain things happen between two people that are just dragged out forever, but neither person is man enough to confront the other about it even though it'd be best to get it out of the way?

Well, I'm sick of this non-confrontationalness.

John. Don't you think it's about time you actually *followed* my blog? I thought I meant something to you! I saw it in your bookmark tab. I SAW it! But sometimes bookmarking just isn't good enough, dammit! Aren't I worth it to you? AREN'T I?!

There, now nobody's allowed to say I'm passive aggressive. Just normal aggressive.

Okay. Now that that's out of my system, I got my housing assignment from Ball State today. I'm in Schmidt Hall in the Johnson complex, which is far away from my classes, my friends, and good food. But we get z-shaped rooms, so I guess that makes it worth it.

Also, I'm watching Buffy and there's lots of Spike-sexin', so it's hard for me to stay angry.

100 Movies and Art

Yes, another "100" project, this one in the form of film.

I have decided that I am going to watch every single film on AFI's Top 100 Films Of All Time list. The "time-limit" I've presented myself with is to get all of them seen before I get out of college, though I may very well finish them all within a year. About half of them are on the Netflix Instant Play list, so that'll keep me occupied for quite some time. I've also seen several of them in my Film Lit class (such as North By Northwest and Jaws.)

Tonight's film is Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange (1971,) which is number 46 on the list. I'm about 15 minutes from the end of the film and would already be done if it didn't keep stopping to buffer.

Also, to hold up my whole end of the picture post thing, here's number 1 in the 100 Themes Challenge.

Why a dragon? Because dragons were the very first thing I drew. When I was little, it was all I would ever draw. So, taking a walk down memory lane, I whipped up this guy.

Enjoy your lives, people.

Backstaginess

I am currently back stage during the Center Stage Player's production of "James and the Giant Peach," which I volunteered to do makeup for. By backstage, I mean green room. And I feel like a true makeup girl. I've done two people's makeup and I'm working my way through a mango flavored slushie (which turned my lips and tongue bright orange.)

Also, I am sitting here with Haley. Say hi, Haley:

Hello dear Blog-readers. I would like you all to know that IO's keyboard (on her laptop, not like she has a keyboard attached to her body) makes a satisfying sound when being typed on. Mine is lovely as well, but hers is a bit firmer. Much like her bottom. It is nice. Kthxbai

That is Haley. She is awesome and her bangs are blue. And she's been playing solitaire for three days straight.

Yup. I'm bored.

........

And then I found 5 dollars.

The End.

PS: Haley found 10. Well, 17, really. 12 of which are in ones.

First Blog Artsyness

I figured I'd get the ball rolling art-wise with posting a WIP. I want to eventually do a complete Zodiac set of pictures. This one is Pisces, obviously. Just the lineart.

I made the BG black so it would be easier to see on a small scale. I'm pretty proud with how the fish turned out.

This is not, in fact, one of the 100 prompts, but it is something that is posted exclusively here. Nowhere else. Awesome, right?

Random: If, for some reason, you have a desire to see some of my art in a more professional setting/layout, check out the BabyZomBot Website.

A Title is for This Post and 100

Well, I have chosen against starting off this blog with an expression of desire to maintain it, because every time I make a blog, my first post is all about how much I want to make sure I actually follow through with the blog itself. They last a month. Tops.

SO NO MORE! In fact, I will say right now that I have ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS BLOG WHATSOEVER!

By reverse psychologizing myself, I'm bound to fall for my mind-tricks.

Auto-save is cooooooolio.

Instead, I'm planning on using this for a general-purpose life/opinion/art blog combo. Three for the price of one. Yes. And I'm sure I've angered a few friends for it, as I deleted my old Blogger blog in which I...blogged. It had maybe five followers, so WHO CARES?!

In other news, I've decided to try the "100 Themes Challenge." This is the second time I've made the attempt, difference being that this time, I want to do all of them in a sketch book/traditionally. I may scan them and color them on the computer, but drawn with pencil and paper they shall be.

I shall attempt to keep track of my progress through the blog itself. Enjoy that.
